Save time and make your documents consistent with templates

To use a template

  1. Create a new document.
  2. Click File > New > From template.
  3. Select a template that you want to base your new, custom template on, and click .

To create your own template

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Create a new document.
    • Open an existing document and make the changes you want for your template.
  2. Click File > New > From template.
  3. In the top right, click Submit a template.
  4. Click Choose from your Google docs.
  5. Find the template file you created and click .
  6. Enter a description and select a category and language.
  7. Click .

Your new template appears under My templates
