Create canned responses for quick Q&A

To enable canned responses

  1. In Groups, click and select My global settings.
  2. Scroll to Canned responses and select Use canned responses.
  3. Click .

To check permissions and as a manager, choose who can use canned responses

  1. From the group’s homepage, click Manage.
  2. On the left side, click Permissions > Posting permissions.
  3. Scroll to Use Canned Responses and select who can use canned responses.
  4. Click .

To create a canned response

  1. Start a reply or new post.
  2. Click  above the text editor options.
  3. Click Manage canned responses.
  4. Create a new canned response.
  5. Enter a name for the response and write out what text you would like to use, including any links or formatting.
  6. Click .

To use your canned response

  1. Start a reply or new post.
  2. Click  above the text editor options.
  3. Select the response from the list, or start typing the title of your canned response to filter the list of choices.
